PALMEX ADDS A TOUCH OF EXOTICISM TO INDONESIA’S BALI SAFARI
Home to over a thousand amazing animals – Bali Safari Park is built on 40 wooded acres in Gianyar as artificial habitat for over 60 species of animals from Indonesia, Africa, and India. Bali Safari Park is at the frontline of wildlife conservation in Indonesia to ensure the future survival and wellbeing of many animal species.
The Bali Safari Park belongs to the group: Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) who own many zoo’s, theme parks and hotels. It is the largest world-famous Indonesian group that has been titled “best conservation site” by the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry.
In 2017, our distributor, PT Atap Teduh Lestari (ATL) reached out to TSI in order to introduce and suggested Palmex products for their roofing needs. They found Palmex to be the perfect material for their upcoming projects because of its numerous eco-friendly attributes and natural aesthetic that merges seamlessly with nature.
In phase one of the project, our Rioha thatch was installed on 16 buidings at the Marine park. This project covered over 1591 sqm of roofing and took approximately 32 weeks to complete. We even installed on a structure made of natural bamboo rafters!
Then came the Tsavo restaurant’s 884 sqm roofing project. The first African-themed restaurant in Asia that allows you to have a close encounter with real wildlife. This fine dining restaurant is located side by side with the lion’s exhibition.
More recently, we installed two more projects at the Park including the Lobby Barong covering more then 1149 sqm for the 1st phase of installation. The beautiful result of this installation was captured on video:
